First Day of School

Today was Ava's first day of school - fifth grade.


We walked her to school. Well, we walked her to the edge of the school and no farther because - "Independence," she said.


Compare the independent fifth-grader to this little girl on her first day of kindergarten.

    I remember that first day. I feel so grateful to be a part of her growing up.

    Time flies indeed. Is she wearing lip gloss/lipstick in that first picture?

      Good eyes, Tessie! Yes, indeed she is wearing lip gloss in the first picture. And some light eye shadow, too. Lol.
